Do you know where your city sewer clean out is?

When everything is running smoothly most of us don't think about where our home's sewer clean out is, but when a backup occurs you'll want to know where it is to remedy the problem as quickly as possible :)

The city clean out in somewhere along on your property line. It can have a threaded steel cap or a plastic cap that may be white, red, or black. Your clean out could end up buried by grass or weeds over time so it's great to know where it is to prevent it from being hidden.

If you are having a sewer backup you can call us, but to potentially save time and money the first thing you'll want to do is check your city clean out. Take the cap off and if there is water the blockage is on the city side and you'll want to give them a shout. If it is empty the blockage is on your side. Have no fear!
