Time To Test Your Heat Tape!

Heat tape prevents exposed pipes in your crawl space, mobile home or on the outside of your house from bursting in the winter.

It's time to test your heat tape so you are ready for the winter :).

1) Make sure your heat tape is plugged in.

2) (a) If your heat tape has a test button use this to make sure your heat tape is working properly.

(b) If your heat tape doesn't have a test button wait until the temperature outside gets cooler (around 3 degrees Celsius) and physically feel the heat tape, it should feel warm to the touch.
