What's that smell?

Did you know that unused drains can start to smell!? When frequently used, a drain's trap is filled with water that prevents sewer gases from coming back up the drain. When the drain dries out sewer gas can come up through the drain causing a terrible odour!
To prevent sewer gas from coming into your home, pour a few gallons of water down to fill the trap of any infrequently used drains. This could be your basement floor drain, any tubs/showers or sinks.
